How to Support Today’s High Vibrational Children

HEIGHTENED INTUITION AND SENSORY ABILITIES

Today’s children have heightened sensory fields, which helps them be aware of many more subtle senses than the five we have been taught to believe comprise our human sensory “antenna.” To help them understand and develop their heightened senses requires parents and educators to realize that children are equipped with expanded multi-sensory abilities for a reason. Human consciousness is accelerating during these times of transition to higher levels of vibration and knowledge. This evolutionary process is advancing humanity beyond its former third dimensional view of life. Today’s children are already reflecting this change in the brain’s capacity to receive and process information because of their heightened intuitive intelligence and sensory awareness.

THE CHALLENGE: Children with heightened sensory fields and an expanded intuitive intelligence can become easily over-stimulated, may suffer from sensory overload, and feel "different" because they hear, sense, feel, and see beyond ordinary reality. They often feel "out of sync" with today’s linear, test-driven mode of education because their brain-body system is wired to respond to learning that addresses the “whole child.”

  1. Become informed Read: Wisdom’s Children by Lin Northrup, Hidden Messages in Water by Masaru Emoto, Models of Love by Joyce and Barry Vissell, The Gift of Change by Marianne Williamson, and The Wise Child by Sonia Choquette. Learn about this vibrational shift and acceleration of universal consciousness. Become an advocate for a more holistic, heart-centered approach to education that will honor and develop the multisensory skills of our global children.
  1. Observe your children’s reaction to television, video games, crowded malls, and situations that have a great deal of sensory stimulation. How does it affect their energy level, ability to focus, capacity to listen and interact lovingly with others? Is there a mood change from over-stimulation (anger, obstinacy, apathy). Do they become more “hyper” and seem to crave even more stimulation? Do they resist bedtime? Do they become more aggressive, exhausted, or exhibit stress-related behaviors?
  1. Explain their sensitivity as a gift that helps them learn more about themselves, their everyday world, and nature. For example, if one of your children has very sensitive hearing and doesn’t like to be in crowded places, bring your child to the woods, sit quietly and let him tell you what he hears. Help him develop his keen hearing through listening and don’t force him to be in situations that overload his senses. As he matures, he’ll appreciate his multisensory gifts and learn how to center and balance himself so he can function more effectively in everyday situations.
  1. Teach your child how to elicit the relaxation response through listening to music such as Angel Love for Children. Tell them that sports psychologists and performers learn relaxation techniques to help them focus and use their gifts to their maximum potential. Model this for them by using relaxation music at home to relax after work or when preparing dinner. Create “down time” for your family with quiet activities and soft music. Today’s children absolutely require more down time in order to connect with their heartfelt feelings and inner guidance.
  1. Monitor and strictly limit the amount of time your children spend in front of TV and video games. Programs and games that are violent emit a harsh energy that clashes sharply with the open, expanded senses of today’s children. It scrambles their mind-body system, often stimulates the stress response, and undermines their innocence. Communication with those they love fills their hearts. Children’s energy vibrates to love, and too often the negative media fill them with false ideas of who they are. Help them to be discerning about where to place their attention, so that they can develop and use their intuitive abilities to access their highest thoughts.
  1. Simplify your lifestyle. Too much rushing around, too many material things, too much involvement in competitive activities perpetuates sensory overload and creates stressed children and families. That kind of lifestyle does not serve our high vibrational children who have come with a purpose: to follow the path of the heart. Help them choose one or two activities and then observe and regularly revaluate how that affects their well-being. Encourage reading, art, and making things at home so they can stretch their imaginations, and discover what is inside themselves. Even if children ask to do more and more, exercise your wisdom by knowing they need “quiet time” (not TV, video games) to rebalance and process their feelings in order to become whole, loving human beings.
  1. Spend more time in nature so that everyone in the family can rebalance mind, body, and spirit. This generation of children has come to help humanity heal the earth and they need their connection to the earth firmly established while they are young. To be disconnected from the earth undermines their innate knowing and compassion for all beings. Too many scheduled activities interfere with children being outside, caring for pets, learning about and appreciating the beauty of the natural world. Consequently, children become ungrounded and more prone to stress disorders. Nature is a loving antidote to today’s out-of-balance fast-paced lifestyle.
  1. Learn about energy and energy medicine so you can understand and teach your children how to tune into their mind-body systems when they are on emotional, sensory overload. Children become unable to focus, are less receptive to learning, and can develop negative attention-getting behaviors when their systems are over stimulated. By learning energy balancing techniques they can release stress in healthy ways rather than developing the addictive behaviors so prevalent in our society. Read books like Energy Medicine by Donna Eden and Anatomy of the Spirit by Caroline Myss. Today’s high vibrational children intuitively understand energy principles and will be very receptive to this information. They are in alignment with a more holistic approach to health and well-being.
  1. Respect their intuition, which is a characteristic of their heightened abilities. Today’s children are highly intuitive and can “read” people and situations. They feel the truth underlying people’s speech and are keenly aware of that which is not in alignment with love. If they tell you that something doesn’t “feel” right to them, or that someone is “fake,” it is often because they intuitively sense the energy surrounding a person and know when someone is not acting with integrity. Because of their sensitive intuition they may have ideas and thoughts that “come out of nowhere” and seem beyond their chronological age. Teach them that intuition is a wonderful part of their intelligence, and that it is an internal guidance system that can help them make wise choices. When your child has a choice to make, ask them what their intuition ( their wise part inside, their heart) has to say.
  1. Understand that your high vibrational children may see light, auras, angelic beings and other phenomena beyond ordinary third dimensional reality. Honor what they share with you in a loving way so that they can retain their extraordinary perceptual gifts. Their sensitivity, intuition, and heightened sensory awareness is their gift to us. Children's brain-body systems are indeed wired differently, for they are the forerunners and reflect the new man and woman. They come in with an innate global mind-set needed for these times. Listen to them and help them learn and grow by following nature’s rhythms for your child. They need adults who are “present” with them and need more balance in their lives than previous generations in order to maintain their expanded perceptions. And the world needs their universal way of viewing life.
